Who is a candidate for Renew Movement™?

Busy, active, no-nonsense people with bodies love Renew Movement™. So if you’re cleared for deep tissue work, you’re a candidate. Call anytime with questions about contraindications.

What should I expect after my first session? Are there aftercare tips?

People often say they feel “lighter” or “looser” after the first session. It’s also not uncommon to feel a bit sore in the days following your first session. While your body may feel great (and ready!), avoid heavy weight lifting or trying to beat your fastest mile the next day or two, as your body acclimates to the new range of motion. Focus on recovery, take a few walks and drink extra water. People with existing chronic pain issues may find pain moving in days following their session–it’s common as the body unwinds. What do I wear?

Comfortable clothing that’s easy to move in (comfy street clothes/workout attire).

Is a Renew Movement™ session intense?

You are 100% in control of the intensity of your session. Your Coach will constantly communicate with you to ensure the intensity lands in your comfort zone. Renew Movement™ is a medium to deep fascia stretch involving tissue pinning (think: weight into a tight spot on your body) by the Coach, alongside movement by the client (you, stretching actively). We break up deep adhesions that limit movement and create pain. So, our sessions can be intense if you prefer a deeper tissue approach. But it’s up to you.

How often do I need Renew Movement™ sessions?

Even one session can make a huge difference, but we typically suggest a session or two per month to keep your body feeling fabulous. Ask about memberships to get the best deals on routine care!

For people experiencing repetitive use injury, chronic pain concerns or acute injury or recovery, we will likely recommend a specific package. This allows your tissue to recognize new, better feeling movement habits over time. Your Coach will talk with you about your current concerns and a path to reach your goals. We encourage you to think about:

1) How long you’ve had immobility or pain (patterns).

2) How frequently you cause strain on your tissue (exercise).

3) How you take care of yourself after a session (recovery).

Then listen to your body’s inner wisdom, as it will tell you what it needs.

What modalities/techniques do you offer?

We offer Renew Movement™ technique, Renew IV™ hydration therapy, and dry needling. Qualified subject matter experts administer these (either a highly trained Renew Movement™ Coach, registered nurse, or physical therapist, depending on modality).
