  • Pain when dorsiflexing

  • Difficulty walking or standing

What is Plantar Fasciitis?

Are the first few steps in the morning agonizing due to heel pain? This is a common symptom of plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis can affect most anyone, but it’s often seen in people between the ages of 40-50, in runners and people who spend a lot of time on their feet. As with most things, where you are experiencing the pain is not necessarily where the problem lies; meaning, plantar fasciitis is often linked to tight calves, hamstrings, quadriceps and sometimes tight hips. Stretching is often prescribed by a medical professional but quite often, that’s not enough to get rid of nagging heel pain.

If left untreated, the fascia on the bottom of the foot can tear, making this condition and its treatment more complicated. We suggest you get in and have your heel pain addressed with a Renew Movement™ modality as quickly as possible before the situation worsens. We also see, with chronic plantar fasciitis, a change in a person’s gait pattern which may lead to more complications and muscular pain and asymmetry in other parts of the body. A Renew Movement™ Coach will work to find the underlying tissue adhesions (knots) that are leading to your plantar fasciitis.
